Our Heritage
Our story began in 1898 as we started manufacturing bespoke high voltage new motors for key clients.
With over 125 years of experience in the design and manufacture of electric motors and generators, we are well-positioned as one of the world-leading suppliers of our technology.
With the support of TDC (Aberdeen), the TDC Parsons Peebles brand has grown into a specialised electromechanical solutions provider offering technology and services for new markets where we will build, service, install, decommissions, analyse and repair a wide variety of electromechanical equipment including motors, generators and rotary frequency convertors.
Our heritage incorporates brands such as: Parsons Peebles Generation and CA Parsons; Peebles Electric Machines.

Bruce Peebles Company Ltd Formed
David Bruce Peebles formed the Bruce Peebles Company Ltd. Bruce Peebles & Company Limited set up the Tay Works, Bonnington, Leith, Edinburgh.
1904
June
First Hydro Electric Scheme
Main Electrical contractor to the first UK Hydro-Electric scheme at CWM DYLI in north Wales. Uprated in 1987 from 5MW to 10MW output.

Parsons Peebles Ltd
Bruce Peebles Industries merged with Reyrolle Parsons, Newcastle. The business was renamed Parsons Peebles Limited, Motor & Generator Division.
1977

NEI Bruce Peebles Ltd
Northern Engineering Industries (NEI) was established. The business renamed NEI Bruce Peebles Ltd until 1981, then NEI Peebles Ltd.

Rolls Royce Power Group
NEI Peebles Ltd becomes part of Rolls Royce Industrial Power.

Relocation to Rosyth
Peebles Electrical Machines Limited re-located to Wood Road, Royal Dockyard, Rosyth.
